This months featured wine is Geyser Peak

Geyser Peak wines are crafted from grapes grown in world-class vineyards primarily in Sonoma County. Geyser Peak has become synonymous with bold, New World varietals.

 Evans offers Cabernet Sauvignon, wich has textbook berry and cassis Cabernet fruit characters complemented by cedary, oak enhance the nose. The palate has nice depth and structure with the flavors following through to a lasting finish.

Chardonnay, a typical Geyser Peak style. This wine shows fruit characters reminiscent of apples, pears and melon. These are complemented by subtle nuances of smoky character, buttery malolactic and vanillin oak. A complex wine with a soft creamy palate and long finish. 

Merlot, a smooth and supple merlot displaying ripe cherry, herbal spice and plummy fruit characters with integrated sweet vanillin oak.  The palate is rich and round, finishing with soft, fine tannin.  A complex style which is enjoyable now and over the next five years.

 

Sauvignon Blanc, is an elegant yet full-flavored Sauvignon Blanc showing distinct varietal fruit character.  The nose displays the typical grape fruit, grassy, gooseberry, apple characters of this varietal.  Grapes were selected from a range of vineyards at varying maturity in order to increase diversity of flavors.
